Taylor Morrison has named Jeremy Hampson as the new division president for its Jacksonville operation, according to Housing Wire, as the homebuilder pursues continued expansion across the Florida market. Hampson brings nearly 15 years of homebuilding experience to the role, most recently serving as division president of Florida for Freehold Capital Management. Prior to that, he spent approximately 11 years with Toll Brothers‘ Jacksonville division, holding roles in project management and land acquisition, ultimately reaching vice president of land acquisition. Taylor Morrison’s Jacksonville division currently operates six open communities and recently launched its first Esplanade resort lifestyle community in the market — Esplanade at St. Marys — a 1,250-acre golf course development planned for more than 1,300 single-family homes near the Georgia-Florida border.
ParkPoint Perspective
The appointment of a land acquisition specialist to lead a growth-oriented division signals that Taylor Morrison views Jacksonville’s supply pipeline as a competitive battleground requiring disciplined site control and entitlement expertise. For institutional investors, this suggests that well-capitalized national builders are doubling down on Sun Belt markets with resort-lifestyle product — a move that may compress future land basis opportunities in those corridors while reinforcing that execution experience, particularly in large-scale master-planned formats, is increasingly a differentiating asset.
